Alexandria Commission on Persons with Disabilities Awards Chapter with $500 Grant

City of Alexandria Mayor Kerry J. Donley and the Chair of the Alexandria Commission on Persons with Disabilities, Eunice Fiorito, presented Betty Ransom, Director of Education with the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, with a $500 community organization grant. The grant, established in 1987, assists nonprofit agencies serving the Alexandria area by removing barriers and extending services to Alexandria citizens with sensory or physical disabilities. The Chapter will use the grant to bring four Alzheimer's Information Forums to the City of Alexandria.
